Fun in the countryside

On Independence Day we took a drive out to the countryside and did a little exploring. We disturbed the peaceful river ... by driving through it ... several times.

We did a little fishing.

We played with sticks and rocks and mud.

We walked through the river wearing hip waders.

We had piggy-back rides across the river.

We enjoyed lots and lots of fresh air.
We set up a shady, bug-free zone.

We read and relaxed.

We let Ashley practice driving the beast ...

through a small puddle.

We disturbed the river again ...

and made a big wake.

We smiled ... a LOT!

We saw animals and gers in the countryside.

and ... we ate an entire bag of Trader Joe's turkey jerkey (yum!).

We had so much fun!
