Especially true the day after Thanksgiving! This year we enjoyed a quiet celebration at home, just our family for dinner and then one guest joined us for dessert and games. Our guest brought a fabulous pumpkin pie to share with us and we had a great time learning a new game called Ticket to Ride - Europe. The teenagers had a cyber evening while Charles, Brian and I played the game with our guest (another Embassy employee). Our meal was very delicious as we kept with tradition and roasted a turkey and complemented it with mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and Trader Joe's sparkling Blueberry. YUM! We made sweet potatoes as well, but we were all stuffed by the time they finished baking so we saved them to eat with left overs during the weekend. Our day and evening were just perfect and we spent the time enjoying being together and thankful for our many blessings. Didn't even think to get the camera out -- sorry, no photos. Gobble, gobble!
