Bunches of Celebrations!
Sunday, February 14, 2010 we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary, Valentine's Day, the 20th anniversary of the day we met, Chinese New Year and the Mongolian New Year Tsagaan Sar (literally "white month"). Whew! And, of course, it is also President's Day weekend. No record snow here, like in Virginia, though. On Friday, the International School held a Tsagaan Sar Assembly to which parents were invited. Charles and I enjoyed all the musical (morin khur, throat singing) and cultural performances ... and I also liked being able to see some of Brian's artwork in his classroom before the assembly started.
