Thanks to the Lunar New Year we are enjoying a four-day weekend! These photos were taken at ISU's Tsagaan Sar assembly. The Grade 2 class (Brian's class) sang a song in Mongolian and provided great entertainment by dancing as well. Many of the students at ISU participated in the assembly in traditional costumes and with traditional music and dance movements. Ashley's Grade 7 class danced a peaceful, flowing style of dance to horse-hair fiddle melodies. I love the photo of Brian sitting among all the other primary school children (grades K-5) because it is just a sea of delightful colors! Happy Lunar New Year!
