She's 17.

We celebrated daughter's 17th birthday yesterday evening with her dinner of choice (Subway Sandwiches), some ice cream, cards & presents.  Son #2 serenaded her with a special version of 'Happy Birthday to You' and it was pretty neat because he accompanied himself on the violin!
Yesterday was a school day so daughter was pretty busy, but she said it was a good day and many friends gave their birthday wishes via social media and in person.  Her friends from church even made a giant poster for her, which they all signed.

We love her.  She's a keeper.

In other news ...
Husband is on his way here for a Spring Break R&R.  He's in Dubai airport right now as I type this ... hopefully stretching his legs by walking and walking and more walking during his several hour layover there.  The next part of the journey is a 15 hour overnight flight to USA.  I will pick him up at the airport tomorrow morning.  YAY!
