A Beached Whale!

In preparation for renting out our place while we're in Mongolia, we knew we would need to replace the water heater ... its age: 19 years old! Can't believe it lasted that long. We were very lucky it didn't leak all over our basement. Charles sacrificed his Saturday (yesterday) and purchased & installed a new one. Once we carried the old one out to the deck, we could see just how rusted out the bottom had become. Now we have a beached metal whale out on the deck ... once we get our new washer we'll call the trash man to come and pick up all the beasts laying dead on our back deck.

Here's the new one all installed and ready to make nice warm showers for me ... well, for another month anyway!
