Another Trip to Podiatry

I've had never been to a Podiatrist in my life, until this month.  Now both sons have needed to go see one.  Ian's toe surgery is healing well.  He's half way done with the post-op warm salt baths and dressing changes twice per day.  His toe nails look so much better!

Yesterday I took Brian to see a Podiatrist because he's been having some foot growth/development problems for a while.  He's not able to walk with his heels down first, much preferring to be on the ball of his foot (like a toe-walker).  The Podiatrist remarked that Brian has super high arches, very strong achilles tendons and very tight calf muscles.  He's not sure what's going on so Brian will be seeing another specialist in a couple weeks ... a Pediatric Neuro-Muscular specialist ... to rule out the serious issues and get some recommendations for physical therapy.

He took it all in stride ... he even finished off his homework in the waiting area.
