First, we spent the day surrounded by Virginia's Autumn splendor in the Shenandoahs via the Skyline Drive. Nature is so pretty this time of year -- the reds, oranges, yellows and even the browns all mixed together. Mother Nature decided to cooperate so we happily drove along at the posted limit [35] with the Miata's top down. Our lunch at the Skyland Resort was delicious, especially the blackberry desserts. The menu is here, if you're interested. We stopped in their gift shop and made a small food purchase to take home (blackberry jams and syrup).
