Son Goes to Philadelphia

Last Thursday son #2 went with the 6th grade students on a day trip to explore some cool sites in Philadelphia.  The trip was anything but "cool" though as the temperature that day reached 95F and it was plenty humid.  The journey is about 3 hours each way from where we live so he had to be at school by 6:30 am and returned back to the school about 9:30 pm.  A very long day ...

From son's report, the group had fun.  They saw Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, ate lunch at the food court, walked around and saw some more historic places, ate dinner at Hard Rock Cafe and then traveled home on their nice air conditioned tour buses.

An added bonus of this trip is that son can count this explore for his Citizenship in the Nation merit badge.  Awwwww yisss!
