Brian caught a cold which made itself evident this past Thursday night (he woke me up 4 times that night!). He stayed home from school all day Friday. He stayed in his pj's all day Saturday and had a fever on and off. By Saturday evening his breathing was labored and you could hear chest congestion. We were concerned that it might be bronchitis or perhaps pneumonia developing so we took him to Kaiser. We got there around 9:15pm and didn't leave until about 11:45 pm. Brian was a cooperative patient and was only concerned about one thing ... "no shots please!" Thankfully no shots were involved; however, he did have a nebulizer mask for about 10 minutes with an Albuterol treatment. The doctor also thought that allergies have played into this situation so Brian gets to take Claritin for a week or so as well as a couple days of inhaler meds. Needless to say, Brian's appetite was low most of Friday and Saturday so by the time we returned home last night he was hungry. Here he is having some Cheerios ... this picture was taken at 12:02 am.
