Feelings on Education

 I believe our most important work while we are here on the Earth is through the relationships we develop and not the things we acquire.  We aren't going to take any of our stuff with us when we are done in this life.  It will be how we treated others that matters.

Oh how I wish the public education system in the USA had the resources to address the individual needs and abilities of each child.  The maybe more children would succeed and thrive, even, by learning at their own pace and accelerating through material that comes easy to them while taking more time with things that are difficult.  VA schools seem to want to teach to the SOL's (Standards of Learning test) rather than focus on the material and use multiple media channels to reach every student.  Sad.  And frustrating for the parents.
