It doesn't seem to matter whether or not the parent reassures the teenager that they look just fine, cute outfit, blemish-free, etc.. Teenagers just don't like to be photographed. Unless they are taking selfies ... or so I'm told.
Sometimes if you try to photograph a teenager doing something, something productive, it turns out okay. Other times, they give you this look:
Seriously? You're seriously going to take my picture washing the car?
So, parents have to just be happy posting lots of cute pictures of their pre-teens!
